Product vetting of critical features is an important strength of the MSP EHR Selector™. Other sites (particularly "free" ones) don't do EMR product vetting.
Fifty percent of the fee an EMR developer pays to have their system listed at this site goes directly for product vetting expenses. This is vetting of features NOT covered already by CCHIT-certification.
We think it's important, and believe that you also see the value.
Independently vetted items are verified by CSMed, LLC personnel, an MSP partner in the EHR Selector.
Items are chosen for vetting because they represent important features, frequently asserted by users that differentiate EMR product performance and need to be accurate.
Nearly all EMRs here have been CCHIT-certified since 2007, however certification does NOT cover all features assertable on this tool. Therefore, a separate vetting process is needed in addition to CCHIT-certification.
To our knowledge, we are the only Internet site that independently vets product features.
GEN32-CCHIT certification for 2007, 2008 and 2009 are user-assertable features found under the General Requirements Section of this tool - be sure to check them if you wish to assert them.
The table below indicates the features vetted as of 5/2009. The list is subject to change/update without notice. Vetted Items are also noted on individual criteria help screens.
