Privacy Promise

MSP protects your identity. Many "free EMR sites" (including some medical association sites) disclose your identity to EMR developers that are their partners! By the time you realize your identity has been sold, the annoying & disruptive EMR sales calls may have started! Why risk it?

Be forewarned. If you wander the Internet to other EMR "help" sites and sign in or fill-in "free information" forms, your identity may have already been compromised. If the sales calls start, be assured that MSP was NOT responsible for passing your identity to anyone. If you can't trust a site to keep your identity confidential, why would you trust that their EHR selection information is impartial?

Some website use 3rd-party "Web-bugs" to track the site you are browsing. Unlike cookies, these cause your browser to contact the third party site and make your presence known to them. These were started by Google and Microsoft to identify ad click throughs, but have now been picked up by others to track your presence. Since "Web bug" code runs on your browser is technically the source of the contact, Web-bugs aren't mentioned in by the site you are visiting. MSP doesn't and never has used "Web-bugs". We really do take your privacy seriously. Browse here with confidence.

No Conflicts of Interest

MSP believes an EMR Selector has to have no conflicts of interest with any of the EMR developers. Here is our disclosure of what we DON'T do.

  • We don't do EMR consulting to group practices. If you want our advice, read our book - Successfully Choosing an EMR, 12-Critical Decisions, published by Wiley Press.

  • We don't ask or accept "Finder's Fees" or commissions from any EMR developers under any circunstances. Many so-called free EMR sites sollicit and accept such fees from EMR developers whose systems you might select.

  • We don't run national conferences (like HIMSS or other organizations) and sell exhibit space to EMR developers, in the process deriving over half of their incomes from such fees. Suppose a well-known vendor spends over $100K on booth space, and another spends $5K, and both systems have flaws. Is the organization as likely to mention the flaws of the large EMR developers as they are to mention the flaws of the small ones?

  • We don't serve on the boards or management teams of EMR developers.

  • We DO pay to have over 40 critical assertions of each EMR developer's data independently verified before we allow their profiles to go-live on the MSP EHR Selector™ where you see it.

MSP charges EMR developers approximately $800 per year to be listed on this site - half of that goes to vetting their products and the other half to website development and marketing. By being independent and unconflicted, we deliver a better product than our competitors.
